Finnegan Thermo LCQ Advantage Mass Spectrometer
The new LCQ Advantage is fitted with the most rugged ESI and APCI
sources available on any Ion Trap mass spectrometer. The LCQ Advantage
features adjustable orthogonal API spray probes which increase sensitivity
and reduce source contamination, maximizing instrument duty time.
In a single experiment you can generate the maximum amount information,
accelerating your analyses and providing unequivocal compound identification.
MS/MS spectra are produced automatically, providing valuable structural
information and selectivity, as well as guarding against false positives.
The LCQ Advantage lets you search and append commercial and custom
built libraries, producing a powerful database of MS/MS spectra.
The LCQ Advantage, equipped with the Xcalibur software suite, permits
simultaneous acquisition of mass spectral data and photo-diode array
(PDA) data. Intelligent MS/MS tools incorporated in the software
maximize and optimize the data you can generate automatically in
a single run. The LCQ Advantage allows for qualitative and quantitative
analyses at low levels within complex matrices. With its seamless
integration to LC systems and powerful data analysis capabilities,
the LCQ Advantage ensures maximum efficiency and reduces development
times.
Dionex (LC Packing) UltiMate Liquid Chromatograph
The UltiMate Liquid Chromatograph features a Solvent Organizer
with a helium sparging device, assuring optimal solvent degassing.
This feature diminishes baseline disturbances at low wavelength
UV detection. A high-precision reciprocating pump generates highly
reproducible flow rates. The UltiMate is equipped with a quaternary
low pressure gradient former. Real-time monitoring of the microcolumn
pressure and graphical display on a PC guarantees rapid system control
and easy troubleshooting. High through-put is achieved by the use
of an automated sample preparation and auto-sampling out of 96 or
384 well plates or 48 microvials/HPLC vials. A special column compartment
protects microcolumns of up to 30 cm in length and allows for thermostatting
of the microcolumn up to 70° C. A specially designed scanning
UV-Vis absorbance detector is an integrated part of the UltiMate.
It is the most sensitive and versatile absorbance detector available
for microcolumn separations. The LC UltiMAate is coupled to a Finnegan
Therm LCQ Advantage mass spectrometer (described below).
Hitachi High Performance Liquid Chromatograph with UV detector
This system provides precision, flexibility and reliability for
the most demanding HPLC applications. Solvent gradients may be utilized,
small internal volume is optimized for narrow-bore applications,
and there is high speed flow feedback and flow control. An associated
autosampler has a large capacity and good reproducibility. The UV
detector has reduced noise and drift giving higher sensitivity.
