State University's Bioanalysis facility, located in Leonard Hall, houses
a state-of-the-art liquid chromatograph-mass spectrophometer capable of
measuring and identifying a variety of compounds in trace amounts.
The facility also has a high performance liquid chromatograph as well as
standard equipment for extracting and preparing samples for analysis.
The analytical services are available to university researchers, other
public educational institutions, and private companies.
The facility was funded through the governor's Initiative for Excellence
Program and is directed by James C. Bigelow, an associate professor of pharmaceutical
sciences. |
