About our Program.

ISU's Automotive Technology Program provides students with learning opportunities for successful employment in a globally competitive marketplace.

We do this using hands-on education and real life experiences in the classroom, the labs, the live work shop, and in internship programs at dealerships and an internship program at independent repair facilities across the state.  This offers a balance of theory, and practical experience.

Our program articulates into an Associate of Applied Science degree, or a Bachelor of Applied Technology (BAT) degree, if you so desire.

Student job placement of the program is currently 95%.

Our hours are from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm in the classroom and/or lab, Monday through Friday.
Lunch is from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
Sessions are approx. 8 weeks long, and registration enables starting at the beginning of any 8 week session.

The internship program is available after the second week of Live Work II.
