ASISU General Elections 2009
Dear Candidate,
Thank you for getting involved and deciding to run for office as well as having the desire to represent your students as an ASISU officer. The Election Commission and I want you to know that we are deeply committed in providing an unbiased, fair, and exciting election. As you are preparing for your campaign please keep a few things in mind:
The timeline is a great resource we have prepared to help keep you on top of important events and mandatory meetings. Even though the timeline outlines GENERAL events we encourage you to engage in creative and original campaigning techniques that will help maximize your exposure so long as they are within reason and the rules.
Become familiar with important documents such as the ASISU constitution, bylaws, and especially the Election Code, as well as general campaigning restrictions for specific buildings and areas. You will be held accountable for this knowledge and will be expected to follow all rules as outlined in these documents.
As the Elections Commissioner I want to make sure that you have every tool and resource available to you for your success. If you have any questions, or want to clarify anything that is unclear, do not hesitate to email me.
