ASISU ELECTIONS
Becoming a Candidate
Thank you for choosing to get involved by running for office to represent students as an ASISU officer. The Elections Commission and I want you to know that we are deeply committed to providing an unbiased and fair election. As you are preparing for your campaign, please keep these things in mind:
The Candidate Packet is a great resource. It lists important events and mandatory meetings. We encourage you to engage in creative and original campaigning techniques that will help maximize your exposure, as long as they are within the rules.
Become familiar with important documents such as the Candidate Packet, ASISU Constitution, Bylaws, and the Election Code, as well as general campaigning restrictions for specific buildings and areas. You will be held accountable for this knowledge and will be expected to follow all rules outlined in these documents.
As Elections Commissioner, I want to make sure that you have every resource available for your success. If you have questions, or want to clarify anything that is unclear, do not hesitate to email me.
Thank you,
Benjamin Harker
