The Arts at ISU
This Week
The Playboy of the Western World will open Friday, Nov. 13, in the Rogers Black Box Theatre of the L.E. & Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center. Playboy of the Western World takes place in the early 1900s on the west coast of Ireland. J. M. Synge tells the story of a young man, Christy Mahon, running away from his farm claiming he killed his father. Despite his claim, the locals aren't too interested in condemning his immorality; they are consumed with vicariously enjoying his story. Theatre/Dance ISU is proud to welcome the Irish classic, Playboy of the Western World to the Rogers Black Box Theatre.
All shows start at 7:30pm and tickets are available now at the Performing Arts Center box office, by phone at 282-3595 or online.
