Transfer Articulation at Idaho State University

Please note: These are unofficial course evaluations and are provided as a convenience for prospective students. This document is our best estimate of how specific courses will transfer to ISU, but this document should not be considered a guarantee of transfer credit awarded. A formal course evaluation will be initiated once an official application for admission has been received and all official transcripts have been submitted. Course equivalencies may change at any time without notice. Course equivalencies are under constant review and are continuously being developed. If you have taken courses for which we have no equivalencies defined, we will evaluate these courses upon receipt of your formal admission application and all corresponding official transcripts.

ISU currently follows a semester hour calendar. Transfer credit hour values are based on the credit hour value assigned by the originating institution and the appropriate conversion is made to determine semester credit hour values. Students transferring to ISU from a quarter credit institution will earn 2/3 of a semester credit for every credit earned on the quarter system. Credits are transferred to Idaho State University at the level earned at the institution of origin. Transferred lower division (1000-2000 level) credit may NOT count as upper division (3000-4000) credit regardless of the appropriate course equivalencies. Courses which transfer to ISU but have no direct course equivalency will be denoted using the level of the course followed by XXX.
