Course Withdrawal BEFORE the Withdrawal Deadline
To withdraw from one or more classes in the current term:
Select Academic Tools tab on BengalWeb. Click on Add or Drop Classes link under Registration Tools channel and select the current term in the drop down box. Once your current class schedule appears, use the action dropdown box to select **Web WD w/a W grade**.
To completely withdraw from ISU:
Use the steps above in BengalWeb for each course in which you are registered.
For more information, contact the Pocatello campus at (208) 282-2661, Idaho Falls at (208) 282-7800, or Twin Falls at (208) 736-2101.
Students who are receiving financial aid and withdraw may not be meeting satisfactory progress requirements. If satisfactory progress is not maintained, students will need to appeal for future financial aid and may be required to repay all or part of their financial aid or scholarships.
When completely withdrawing from ALL ACADEMIC classes, please be aware of the following:
- Return of Title IV Funds. Contact Financial Aid at (208) 282-2756 for more information.
- Student Loan Exit Interview is required! Go to web site: http://www.nslds.ed.gov/nslds_SA/SaEcWelcome.do.
- For Perkins Loan Exit Interview, contact Financial Services at (208) 282-2292.
Students may not be eligible for any refunds. For information on refunds go to http://www.isu.edu/finserv/refundinfo.shtml.
Students may be required to move from university housing if they live on campus.
If the student is a College of Technology student, please contact Student Services, RFC Building, Box 8380, Phone (208) 282-2622.
The university strongly recommends that students meet with an ADVISOR to determine the benefits and consequences of withdrawal. Check the advising web site at: http://www.isu.edu/advising/.
AFTER the Withdrawal Deadline
Students wishing to withdraw from ISU, medically or otherwise, after the established deadline (see current academic calendar) should contact the dean of the college in which they are enrolled in order to determine the available options (e.g., taking an Incomplete, medical withdrawal, staying enrolled).
