- A $7.00 fee will be charged for each section of the COMPASS test. An additional $7.00 fee will be charged per section for any retakes of the COMPASS test.

- Students must wait a minimum of one day to retake the same section of a COMPASS Test.
- A PHOTO ID is required in order to take a COMPASS test.
- Plan approximately 45 minutes to complete each test section.
- There is no limit to the number of times a student can re-test.
- The student should always be provided with a paper copy of the COMPASS test.
COMPASS Information for Outreach Centers
- The COMPASS test is also administered at the outreach centers in American Falls, Blackfoot, Idaho Falls, Malad, Montpelier, Preston, Soda Springs, and Twin Falls. For those located in a rural area or out of state,
there are options available. Contact Counseling and Testing at (208) 282-2130 for specific information.
- Scores can be entered into the computer system before or after a student has been accepted for admission to ISU.
