ONLINE POLICY AND PROCEDURE SYSTEM
Procedure: Audit A Class
Department: Registration & Records
Contact: reginfo@isu.edu
Courses posted in the Class Schedule with an "A" code allow students to choose the audit option when registering for the course prior to the 10th day of class. Students who choose to audit a class must pay regular tuition rates. A student who is paying full-time fees will not pay an additional fee when auditing a class. Students are not allowed to change their course status from audit to credit at any time.
A student auditing a course is not allowed to participate in course discussions or submit work for a grade.
To enroll in a course not listed with an "A" option in the Class Schedule or to change course status from credit to audit after the 10th day of class requires a Schedule Change Card signed by the course instructor, the department chair, and the College Dean of the student's major.
If an instructor does not feel that an auditor has attended sufficiently, the instructor will record a "W" on the final grade sheet and a withdraw will be recorded in place of the audit.
