Kie Foreman, Tennis, 1983-84

Kie Foreman was a member of ISU's tennis team from 1983-84. He then was the assistant women's tennis coach in 1985 and was named head men's tennis coach in 1986. Foreman tallied an impressive 16-straight singles victories during the 1983 season, a record which still stands today. He also teamed with Eric Anderson in 1983 to set the all-time ISU single season record for doubles victories. The record stood until it was broken in the 2003-2004 season. Foreman received the Sam Bennion Most Valuable Tennis Player Award in 1983, and was selected Big Sky Conference Player of the Week during the same season. Foreman has continued to excel in tennis, receiving a ranking of No. 14 in the Pacific Northwest Men's Open Singles in 1990, and a No. 5 ranking in the world in men's 40 USTPA. Foreman currently resides in Marina, California, where he is the director of tennis at the beach and tennis club at Pebble Beach. He graduated from ISU in 1985 with degrees in health and physical education.
