Tony Bolden, Track & Field, 1974-77
Tony Bolden excelled in the high hurdles for the Bengal track and field squad, winning back-to-back-to-back conference championships from 1975-1977. Bolden is just one of two athletes in ISU track and field history to have won three Big Sky Conference high hurdles titles. His winning mark in 1976, 14.04 seconds, is still fourth in ISU history 27 years later. He scored a school-record 30.5 points in 1977 to lead the Bengals to the team championship. Bolden scored a career conference meet total 68 points--the fifth highest in league history. Bolden ranks as one of the most versatile track and field athletes in ISU history, competing in six events during the 1977 conference championships to help lead the Bengals to the title. Bolden currently resides in Sacramento, California.
