The Gem Legacy

The ISU Foundation works to ensure that donors to Idaho State University receive appropriate recognition on campus and in their communities. Based on annual and lifetime giving levels, individuals and organizations who invest in the university become members of the Gem Legacy. Donors will be listed, if they so wish, in the Foundation's annual report as well as in Outlook, the ISU alumni publication. In addition, members of the Gem Legacy are invited to the annual President's Recognition Banquet.

The Gem Legacy includes separate criteria for listing individual and corporate/foundation donors.

Annual Giving

Quartz - $1,000 - $4,999
Amethyst - Gift-in-Kind valued at $1,000 or more

Cumulative Individual Giving

Jade - $5,000 - $9,999
Garnet - $10,000 - $24,999 
Opal - $25,000 - $49,999 
Topaz - $50,000 - $99,999 
Sapphire - $100,000 - $249,999 
Ruby - $250,000 - $499,999 
Emerald - $500,000 - $999,999 
Diamond - $1 Million+ 
Granite - Bequests, irrevocable trusts, life insurance, and other deferred gifts. 

Cumulative Corporate/Foundation Giving

Jade - $10,000 - $19,999
Garnet - $20,000 - $49,999 
Opal - $50,000 - $99,999 
Topaz - $100,000 - $249,999 
Sapphire - $250,000 - $499,999 
Ruby - $500,000 - $999,999 
Emerald - $1 Million - $1.99 M 
Diamond - $2 Million+
