Alumni Board Committees (as of December 1, 2012)
Overview
The Alumni Board of Directors is a powerful body as a whole, but most of its work is done on a committee level. Here, you can read about each committee's purpose, see its list of responsibilities and learn who belongs to each committee.

Finance Committee
Work with Alumni Relations Office staff to review and advise on financial data, presentation and dissemination of information at each board meeting. Serve as oversight as needed on Alumni assets and funds.
Special Events Committee
Special Events Committee objectives and responsibilities are to work on events outside Pocatello, assist and provide input to create chapters/clubs and provide assistance with Student Affairs recruitment events.
Student Engagement Committee
Student Engagement Committee objectives and responsibilities are to help with recruitment, commencement, assist in the creation of a Student Alumni program, provide information to students about the Alumni Association. Assist in Student Affairs Recruitment events and efforts.
Marketing Committee
Marketing Committee objectives include Homecoming event planning and participation and to work on Legislative affairs and merchandising and promotion of the Alumni Association. In addition, the Committee provides assistance as requested during Homecoming and provides input as to new events or plans that may be considered.
Executive Committee
The Executive Committee is composed of the Board's two presidents (current and elect) and the chairs of each committee. This committee primarily screens all items to come before the Board and acts as a preliminary approval body when the Association is faced with timely and unexpected matters and is unable to reach a quorum of the Board of Directors. Review and approve all agenda items for the Board's three meetings each year.
Nominating Committee
Responsibilities, Tasks and Expectations
The Nominating Committee exists to seek nominations to fill board positions as terms expire. Provides adequate slate of candidates at April board meeting each year with supporting documentation on candidates. Conducts board elections annually as prescribed in the by-laws.
