Men's Basketball on Altitude
Altitude Sports & Entertainment will televise nine Big Sky Conference Men’s Basketball contests this season in a Sunday Game of the Week, the network and the league announced on Monday.
All nine Big Sky Conference teams will appear in the package at least once, with games originating from six conference sites. The package will begin on Dec. 30 when Northern Colorado meets Northern Arizona in Flagstaff, Ariz. The final regular-season game will be Sunday, Feb. 24 between Montana and Idaho State from Pocatello, Idaho.
Games will begin at 2 p.m. Mountain, with the exception of a Jan. 13 showdown between Portland State and Idaho State, which will begin at 1 p.m. Mountain.
“It was important to us to make sure all of our teams gained exposure through our Sunday Game of the Week,’’ said Big Sky Conference Commissioner Doug Fullerton. “This schedule achieves that goal. There are some great match-ups in our package. We’re extremely excited to launch this package on Altitude.’’
We are pleased to increase our programming from the Big Sky Conference,” said Altitude Sports & Entertainment’s Shelly Harper Senior Vice President of Programming. “Our game of the week will showcase all the teams in the Conference and reinforce our commitment to regional sports in the market.”
Altitude’s coverage of Big Sky basketball won’t end with the regular season. The network also plans to carry one of the Big Sky Championship semifinals on March 11 live. The network will also televise the women’s basketball championship live on March 15 at 5 p.m. Mountain.
Altitude is available within a 10-state territory of the Rocky Mountain Region including: Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Northern New Mexico, Northeast Nevada and Southwest South Dakota.
Altitude and the Big Sky Conference will work to make the feeds available to local networks in Sacramento, Calif., Flagstaff, Ariz., Cheney, Wash., and Portland, Ore., when teams from those markets appear in the package.
