At this time, most Bachelor Degrees require a minimum of 120 total credits for graduation composed of general, major, elective, and possibly minor credits. Some majors require more credits.
Please check the latest Undergraduate Academic Catalog for major information at: http://www.isu.edu/catalogs.shtml and print off a Degree Plan and/or Program Checklist at: http://www.isu.edu/advising/degreeplans.shtml
The following minimum requirements must be met for graduation with a bachelor degree:
Students who have attended more than one institution, or changed majors, may exceed the number of minimum credits required for a specific degree.
All students must meet the General Education requirements for graduation. Please review the General Education requirements for each degree at ISU by reading pp. 27-29 in the Undergraduate Academic Catalog.
Transfer Students have their General Education requirements assessed according to the Idaho State University Transfer Policy.
2013 - 2014 Transfer policy linkTo avoid duplication of course work, students must determine what General Education assessment category they fall under according to the Transfer Policy before enrolling in any General Education courses.
Please note:
-- An Associate of Applied Science degree does not meet the General Education requirements.
-- Any general education courses not completed as part of your associate’s degree, but specifically required by a major as part of the major requirements will need to be completed.
We strongly recommend that students contact an advisor in the Central Academic Advising office to review their transfer transcript and to receive advice on General Education requirements before they begin their first term at Idaho State University.
