Susanne Forrest
Susanne was born and raised in Germany and completed her undergraduate studies in English and
German at Friedrich Alexander University in Erlangen, Germany. She holds a Master’s degree in English
from North Dakota State University, in German from the University of Montana, and in Counseling from
Idaho State University.
Susanne is fluent in German and English and also has studied Latin, French, Spanish, and a little Arabic.
She loves to explore the surrounding mountains on foot or on skis, read, cook, and visit with friends
from all around the world. She has traveled in Europe, Asia, the Americas, and the Middle East.
She is married, the mother of a freshman in college, and the servant of two cats.
Susanne has worked at ISU for 15 plus years in a variety of capacities including teaching English,
German, and ESL, tutoring, recruiting, international admissions, and academic advising.
Her advising specialty is transfer and international student advising, but she enjoys assisting all students
with their advising needs.
