Medical Assistant

Three Semester to Four and One Half Semester Program Options

One certificate and one Associate of Applied Science degree which require 67-85 credits as listed below are available to the student. Students who demonstrate adequate academic skill to succeed in the occupational content courses of the program will be given an "S" grade for MA 100 and MA 101. They will not be required to attend the initial semester. Course exemption may be granted on the basis of meeting course objectives. Program length will vary depending on the student's academic qualifications at the time of acceptance.

Based on your keyboarding skills you may be required to take a 1 credit Keyboarding class (RELT 103) in order to meet the competencies of the program. Students are required to complete CPR training prior to starting classes. Each student will need to present their CPR certification card to the instructor.
