SPA 642 Aphasia 2 credits. Comprehensive study of neurological language disorders. The etiology and unique behavioral manifestations of these disorders are described. The principles of differential diagnosis, remediation strategies and compensatory strategies are discussed.

SPA 644 Closed Head Injury 2 credits. Study of the etiology and behavior manifestations of traumatic brain injury. The pathophysiology of traumatic brain injury in relation to speech and language is discussed. Long-term, multidisciplinary treatment of these patients is discussed.
