The Institute of Rural Health, established in 1989, is a
University-based research, education, and service organization. Its work spans
public health, health professions training, community programming, and mental
health areas.
The mission of the Institute of Rural Health is to improve the health of rural
communities in Idaho and the Intermountain Region, as well as the nation and
the world through research, education and service. The Institute is housed in
the Kasiska College of Health Professions at Idaho State University.
