CALL FOR PROPOSALS
RELEASE TIME SUPPORT FOR EXTERNAL FUNDING
TO BE AWARDED FOR
ONE SEMESTER
DURING ACADEMIC YEAR 2004-2005
The Research Coordinating Council invites proposals for release time for either fall semester 2004 or spring semester 2005. In coordination with the Academic Vice President's Office, RCC will review, rank by priority, and recommend to the Academic Vice President, faculty requests for release time to pursue external funding. Funds will be made available to release faculty members from teaching or other duties; Release Time Support for External Funding (RTSEF) may be any amount up to the equivalent of 4 credits of teaching (but not over 40% FTE) for one semester. RTSEF is for one semester only.
Requests for RTSEF must be made according to the Release Time Support for External Funding Policy containing the Guidelines for Proposal Preparation (starting on page 2 of the policy). Release time is for the express purpose of writing external funding proposals.
DEADLINE: Proposals are to be submitted to the Office of Research no later than Monday, March 31, 2004. The proposals will be reviewed, evaluated, and ranked by the RCC according to the criteria described in the policy document, then submitted to the Academic Vice President as a recommendation for funding.
