[Submitted by Ken Prolo at the April 5thmeeting.]
Recommendation Number 6:
3.A. The accreditation committee found no evidence that the SBOE sets or publicizes its
annual goals or periodically evaluates its own performance. There is also little or no effort
to inform the institutions and general public of the SBOE goals and achievements.
3.B.1.
- The accreditation report including recommendations was sent to the SBOE.
- The March SBOE agenda included the annual Board agency reports, including the Office of the SBOE overview.
3.B.2.
- The university needs to formally inform the SBOE of Recommendation #6.
- The Self-Study did not include 6.B.6. which would have included 3.B.1.b. above. An annual report is provided
to the Board and public.
- The SBOE has indentified their strategic plans and goals although they
are not updated annually. We need to include the Board's plans and goals.
- The university needs to work with the SBOE staff, particularly the Executive Director to respond to
Recommendation #6.
