John Schroeder John Schroeder is the Director of the Department of Physician Assistant Studies. Mr. Schroeder graduated from the University of Alabama Physician Assistant Program in 1975. His clinical experience is in Family Medicine. Mr. Schroeder was hired as the Program Director in 2000.
 
Sherwin D'Souza

Sherwin D'Souza Dr. D'Souza completed his Medical School training at Seth GS Medical College and King Edward Memorial Hospital, Bombay, India in 1996. He completed his internship at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York, New York. Dr. D'Souza also serves as the Director for InterMountain Osteoporosis Center and an Internist at InterMountain Medical Clinic.
 
Ann Smalley

Ann Smalley Ann completed her Master's of Business Administration at Idaho State University in 1985. She manages the program finances and assists both the academic & clinical administrative staff when needed. Ann is the program's administrative assistant to the program director. She is also a Notary. Ann was hired by the ISU PA Program in 2003.

Paula Phelps Paula graduated from the University of Utah Physician Assistant Program in 1995 and completed her Master's in Health Education at Idaho State University in 2000. Her clinical experience is in family practice & OB/GYN. Mrs. Phelps was hired by the ISU PA Program in 1995.

Kent Whitaker Kent graduated from the University of Utah Physician Assistant Program in 1995 and completed his Masters of Education at Weber State University. His clinical experience is in primary care and dermatology. Mr. Whitaker was hired by the ISU PA Program in 1998.

Dave Martin Dave graduated from the University of Oklahoma Physician Assistant Program in 1980 and completed his Master's in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Nebraska in 2000. His clinical experience is in family practice & emergency medicine. Mr. Martin was hired by the ISU PA Program in 2003.
   
Bernadette Howlett, MS, PhD
Research Assistant Professor and Instructional Designer

Bernadette has a PhD in Adult Education from the University of Idaho and a Master’s of Science in Instructional and Human Performance Technology from Boise State University. She teaches research and evidence-based medicine and works with the faculty and program staff to perform systematic program evaluation.

   
Michele Miles, MS, PA-C

Michele specializes in international medicine and works in family practice. She worked in the Peace Corps as volunteer medical officer in the Dominican Republic. She has also served in Kenya, Haiti, Mexico, and China. Michele was hired by the ISU PA Program in 2007.

David earned his Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies through University of Nebraska Medical Center. David practices in urgent care, family practice, and emergency medicine. David was hired by the ISU PA Program in 2007.

Corbin Bunnage Corbin graduated from Idaho State University Physician Assistant Program in 1999. His clinical experience is in emergency medicine. He received his MS degree with an emphasis in family practice and emergency medicine from the Arizona School of Health Sciences in March 2004. Corbin was hired by the ISU PA Program in 2003.

Cindy, a graduate of the ISU PA Program, is a past President of the Idaho Academy of Physician Assistants and she volunteers at the Pocatello Free Clinic. She works part time in women's health. Cindy was hired by the ISU PA Program in 2006.

Bill HatchBill graduated from the University of Washington’s MEDEX PA Program in 1989.  Completed a two year Post Graduate Emergency Medicine Residency in 1994, earning a Master’s of Science in Medicine.  His clinical experience remains in emergency medicine.  He was hired by the ISU PA Program in 2008.

Jared PapaJared is experienced in rural and underserved community health having worked in the fields of family and urgent care medicine.  He is fluent in Spanish.  Jared received his Physician Assistant training from Pacific University, graduating in 2003, and joined the ISU PA Program in 2008.

Jeanne LancasterA former ISU student, Jeanne has worked for the University in several departments including, Student Services. She previously worked for the Southeast Idaho District Health Department. She transferred to the ISU PA Program in 2003.

Jeanne LancasterRita has worked for the state of Idaho, including the Division of Building Safety. She has a background as a legal secretary and worked in the public school system. Rita was hired by the ISU PA Program in 2007.

Jeanne LancasterBrian graduated from Brigham Young University in 1983 and has spent 25 years working nationally in commercial, government and educational television. Brian has been certified in telecommunications network design and implementation. Brian was hired by the ISU PA Program in 2007.

Jeanne LancasterJerry holds a B.A. in broadcasting. He worked as an anchor with Idaho's largest TV news team in the 80s and 90s before gaining additional experience as a member of the City of Boise community relations staff. Jerry also consulted for Ulead Systems, a global software developer, before joining the ISU PA program staff in 2007.

David Hachey Dr. Hachey is a Clinical Associate Professor at Idaho State University College of Pharmacy in the Departments of Pharmacy Practice and Administrative Science and Family Medicine. He earned his PharmD at the University of Rhode Island in 1998 and completed a residency and fellowship in family medicine at Idaho State University in 2000.
