Description: We are an interventional, comprehensive pain management practice based in Athens, GA. We also have a focus on addiction medicine, and 4 of our physicians just took the boards for addiction medicine this month (they are currently board certified in anesthesia and pain management). We have on-site physical and massage therapy, as well as an ambulatory surgery center.
Job duties will consist of seeing follow up appointments for medication management; ordering procedures, therapies, injections, radiographic studies, lab work; performing injections and procedures. The PA will be paired/work with one doctor and be based in Athens, but also travel twice a week to satellites clinics, no more than 30-45min away. Our clinic is open Monday through Thursday. Call is on a rotating schedule, about one weekend every other month (there are few hospital consults).
Salary: Negotiable

Qualifications
The Crean School of Health and Life Sciences is searching for a founding Physician Assistant Program Director with a history of demonstrated leadership in the areas of faculty and staff development, fiscal management, curriculum and program development and program accreditation. The successful candidate will have Physician Assistant certification or eligibility for licensure in California, and a history of PA practice. A P.A. with an earned PhD, MPH or professional doctorate preferred. Demonstrated research and scholarly achievement to qualify for the rank of tenure track associate or full professor.
Responsibilities
The founding Program Director will direct the development and accreditation of Chapman's new Physician's Assistant Program, including establishing the curriculum, leading the search process for the hiring of new faculty members, hiring a medical director, and collaborating in the planning, design and construction of a new space for the PAE program that includes offices, classrooms, laboratories and related spaces. The 166,000 square foot space will house the Physician Assistant Program, along with the Chapman-KGI School of Bio-Pharmacy, Chapman's existing highly ranked Physical Therapy Doctoral Program, and other graduate programs in clinical health sciences. The PA Program Director will direct the accreditation process in accord with the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Responsibilities will later include teaching (at a reduced load) in the candidate's area of expertise, interdisciplinary or collaborative research, and professional and university service.
