Steven R. Lawyer, PhD
Dr. Lawyer received his BA with honors with an emphasis in psychology from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in 1995. He received his PhD in Clinical Psychology from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama in 2002 after completing his pre-doctoral internship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center Internship Training Consortium. He then completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the National Crime Victims Research and Treatment Center at the Medical University of South Carolina where he focused his research on and did clinical work with child and adult victims of interpersonal violence. His research interests at Idaho State University focus on anxiety, trauma, and laboratory models of sexual decision-making.
