Elizabeth Pedroza
moved to American Falls ID in 1993. She began
working with the HHP in September 2003.
She is a skilled ethnographic interviewer and health
promoter.
Elizabeth is a certified medical translator with
Portneuf Medical Center and a student of Idaho State
University. She is responsible for facilitating
communication between program participants and health
care providers.
She visits with families in their homes where she
discusses health topics and is able to refer people
to other community resources.
She is in charge of the Saturday Clinics that the
health promoters do once or twice a month in the communities
of American Falls and Aberdeen Idaho and also is the
contact person regarding the Saturday Clinics with
the district health department and local clinics.
She also provides translation services and advocates
for persons seeking help with insurance claims.
