Maricela Mendez

Maricela Mendez began working with the Hispanic Health Projects in September 2004.

Maricela is responsible for facilitating communication between program participants and health care providers, and she provides translation services.  

Maricela organizes community-related activities associated with the HHP'S Community-Based Participatory Research Practices.  

These activities include recruiting research participants, gaining informed consent, conducting qualitative and quantitative interviews, compiling and interpreting qualitative and quantitative data and implementing programs based upon research findings.

Maricela is responsible of maintaining communication between Health West Clinics and the Hispanic Health Projects.
