Community Projects
Through the use of a three pronged approach that
includes research, education and community interventions,
the HHP has documented health needs, and community
perceptions of those needs and then using those
research findings has facilitated the establishment
of appropriate interventions such as:
- Saturday Spanish-language women's clinics
- Exercise programs,
- Healthy cooking classes
- Women's groups & home-based health education
services.
- Computer Classes
It also serves to educate community members and
service providers about issues specific to the Hispanic
Community.
