I am Dr. B. Hudnall Stamm. I work in research public health and psychology and have training in both clinical and quantitative psychology. My interests are varied but tie together through rural and remote health care service delivery. I work in three primary fields, all of which are important to people in rural and remote areas. First, I am interested in traumatic stress, the reactions of people following experiences of extreme events. Second, I work in how to meet the health and social needs of those living in rural and remote areas. Finally, I share an interest with my colleague and spouse of 29 years, Henry E. Stamm, IV, Ph.D., in working with indigenous peoples.

This site will let you see some of the things that I find interesting. Like any researcher, I have many projects in queue. My primary project is my job at the Idaho State University Institute of Rural Health. At the IRH, I am the principal investigator on a variety of grants that have as their focus improving access to health care and prevention of traumatic stress.
